So I play a lot of videogames but I’m not particularly interested in being “good” at video games. Videogames are designed for you to beat them, so it never seemed to matter to me whether you did so on an “easy" difficult or a “hard” one; you’re still only even “winning” inside the predefined context of the game.
I think it’s the same reason I find it more fun to cheat outrageously, mod, glitch, and hack games; because it’s experiencing the gameplay *outside* of the predefined structure.
