Back to my daily The Untamed watch... That whole scene on the bridge was beautiful - even if we were robbed of the bridal carry. I guess they thought that of all things THAT would be too gay for the censors. :) #ep35
He made him a fucking flute! *melts* And the eye-gazing when they start playing together...
(Also, can I say how glad I am that they've replaced the dismembered body jigsaw with the blade spirit?)
Ugh, Xue Yang! Literally THE worst, and my heart's breaking just at the mere mention of Xiao Xingchen and Song Lan. (Yes, I ship them after seeing them together for 5 minutes.)
But hey, drunk!Lan Zhan coming up...
OMG, that's ACTUAL hand-holding, none of that forearm stuff! For that alone I'm glad for this scene. (I'm fine with them not kissing, especially because - as Wei Ying rightly considers in the novel - Lan Zhan isn't in his right mind.)
And aww, my baby bird is back! As if I need more reasons to hate the Jin clan...
And now on to the slapstick portion of the evening, staring Lan Zhan and the chickens. *facepalm* (Actually, I read in a meta post that 2 chickens are part of a wedding gift.*g*)
And straight from the funny to the feels, what with Lan Zhan's greatest regret and Wei Ying crying over it. (Also, *of course* LZ can still fight while drunk.)
Also, how did the censors miss how worried LZ looked when WY told him that he'd admitted to liking.... RABBITS? So the show couldn't do the whole headband bondage-first kiss thing, but that was still incredibly GAY.
And now we're off to Yi City. I am not ready. I am, however, looking forward to the ducklings.
Okay, so this is where I'm glad I already read that part in the novel, because otherwise I'd have been rather confused - although they seem to have foregone the whole fighting paper doll thing.
Also, for the record, I already love Lan Sizhui so much.
Xiao Xingchen's actor did a great impression of Xue Yang. That guy sure likes to chew some scenery!
Annnd LZ to the rescue! LZ putting himself dramatically between WY and danger is one of my favourite things.
I wonder why they didn't go with the white eyes for Jing. Generally speaking she seems much too obviously seeing. But Xiao Xingchen is so lovely with his Little Blind - and way too fucking trusting! I barely made it through this part of the novel, and now I get to relive it all again, how wonderful. :/
But actually, having read it helps, as it gives some detail - plus I've already been through the five stages of grief.
At Jing's grave, what was that exchange of looks & LZ's "Fortunately" about?
How is Song Lan alive when he'd been very much stabbed? Must have missed that in the novel - I thought he was like Wen Ning. But oh, the parallels, the white cultivator and the black, soulmates walking together... Just you wait and see, I'll write them a happy ending!
Dear god, that ominous music!
And aww, Ah Yuan! <3 And a rabbit lantern! But why isn't LZ telling WY?
Are they already talking about MY w/ Zewu Jun?
