I'm also 4.5 episodes into LITTLE WITCH ACADEMIA and don't know if I'm going to continue. It's gotten really good reviews (and is on several best-of lists) but I don't really vibe with the characters yet
THE WAY OF THE HOUSEHUSBAND, about an ex-Yakuza who got married and now does househusband things. Very funny and surprisingly wholesome. The animation took a bit to get used to (it's more like a "motion comic") but I ended up liking it.
I'm on an anime kick, so I watched:
ERASED, a thriller/mystery about a guy who can travel back in time to prevent tragedies, and who travels 18 years into the past to stop his middle school classmates from being murdered.
I thought it was pretty good, though the last episode was the weakest & the murder plot/murderer's motive seemed really convoluted. Apparently the manga was better at explaining things.
My old dentist actually accepts my freebie insurance! I have an appointment for next week. I hope it's just a simple filling and not a crown situation, but either way I want to get this taken care of so I can chew on BOTH sides of my mouth again 🦷
I do wish Nezuko had more to do beside sleep all the time…also if she isn’t going to eat humans then why does she have to stay muzzled?
Aha! Nevermind, I found a secondary website that actually has things listed, including whether the dentist is taking new patients. yay!
2nd Outer Worlds play through has already gone awry because I can’t bring myself to be mean to Pavarti so instead I’m gonna just really focus on trying to max out dialogue options— there’s a few choices where you need 100 dialogue points and I think I only every got up to 80 even with fancy armor bonuses
Bonus happy things: TONS of female characters in important jobs everywhere (including 3/6 companions), cute lesbian romance subplot (AND asexual rep within that romance), lots of classic sci-fi references, heartwarming ending where all your friends come help
Things I didn’t vibe with: the talking face animations were creepy and lifeless; consumables were too complex (especially for a run focused on story and not fighting), can’t mark things on the map so I definitely left some locked doors “to come back to” forgotten entirely
Online reviews often complain of short playtime, but I sunk at least 30 hours into it which is pretty good for a game regularly on sale for $20. There's two DLCs available for another $25 and I"m definitely going to buy them as soon as both are available for the Switch.
AND I just started another play-through so I could try other story choices/dialogue options and see what happens.
I played it on whatever the super easy mode is called-- I don't enjoy FPS as much as I love a good visual novel, so that let me focus on exploring the world without being immediately killed by a rabid space dog. PLUS there's enough dialogue variety that I could play a Very Nice person and make friends with (nearly) everyone, which was great!
or maybe start a separate fanfic spreadsheet? hmmmmmmm
I did check for librarian jobs around here and there's some decent ones open-- including at my old library-- but thinking about going thru the whole process of getting that job makes me feel tired
