The best thing about my drive today? #DoctorWho #8thDoctor "What Lies Inside"
It was amazing! Two brilliant stories, some great performances and it was such a treat.
The dynamic in this TARDIS team continues to be near perfect - these 3 have been together for a while, including the 6 months of Stranded, and the writers and actors do a lovely of drawing that out.
Paradox of the Daleks was a beautiful John Dorney set piece - a self-contained Dalek two-partner that was delightful, clever and such a lot of fun.
The Dalby Spook was a very different animal, but no less rewarding to listen to. A lot of fun, but also nicely atmospheric and quite uncomfortable at parts. Get the Talking Mongoose deserves a spin-off series.
All in all, I thought this was a fantastic showing from #BigFinish - and a perfect standalone piece for anyone who wants to jump in and listen to the 8th Doctor in all his glory.
This is the first of the new range, bringing to a close the extended 4 box set arcs. I'd had really enjoyed the box sets and was worried about what the new format would bring.
Fortunately, my fears were completely unfounded. It had all the joy and freshness of the Lucie Miller stories, and that's no bad thing!
