@Magess lol there's been a sub for the fandom, r/fandomnatural, for almost 9 yrs that hosts ficrec threads. But yeah on reddit (not just spn) for some reason fans don't rly post their fic. This sub is trying to see if it can change that a bit bc it's like if r/nosleep can succeed on reddit, why not some great fanfic?
We'll see how it turns out

@Magess your impression of reddit at large as full of dudebro zones is pretty accurate. but there are connected pockets of fannish subreddits moderated by shippers, proshippers, multishippers, etc. that run things in a way that caters to fans and fandom so dang well. /r/Fanfiction for example just reached 100k users!
@fogsrollingin I'm glad people are carving out good spaces!
